             Center for Judaism Food Bank

“Treat the poor as members of your own household” (Pirke Avot, Chpt. 1, 5)

We are proud to announce the launch of a brand new ongoing program: The
Center for Judaism Food Bank. There is more than one way to give charity: with
your funds, time, resources, assets, energy, emotions, and kindness. We ask that
you open your hearts and your cabinets and contribute a non-perishable Kosher
item to the Food Bank. As it says in the Torah regarding Holidays, “And you shall
rejoice in your feast, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant,
and your maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the orphan, and the
widow, who are inside your gates” (Devarim, Torah)

Yeshiva Night is a great opportunity not only for learning Torah, but for practicing
what we learn. So bring your thinking cap, and a food item when attending Yeshiva
Night!  Women’s Night, the perfect time to nourish your spirituality, and somebody
else's physicality! There is a basket at the Center for Judaism where food can be
dropped off. Please do not hesitate to call or email Nuta Yisrael or Ettie Shurack if
you have any questions:    604-594-7751   or
